Pascal Duval, Fools Gold
Tales of Desire & Deception
A Solo Show by Pascal Duval
27.06 - 31.07 2025
'Fools Gold' is a collection of painted stories about desire & deception, inspired by myths, memories, timeless fables and pop culture. Rather than a single narrative, 'Fools Gold' opens an archive of visual tales, seductive and strange, that stay with you like stories told long ago, or dreams you can’t quite place.
At the heart of it is an artist choosing his own path filled with uncertainties, dreams, fears and with a desire to escape a sometimes inhuman and superficial society.
The work draws you in with bold visuals, vivid colours, and compositions that suggest a story just beneath the surface. There’s a quiet intensity in the brushwork, layered, textured with drips and gestures that feel both deliberate and instinctive. A skilled painter and sharp visual storyteller, Duval shows a growing mastery of his tools, composition, and technique.

Join us for a drink at Bisou Gallery for the festive opening of Fools Gold, a new solo exhibition by Pascal Duval. The artist will be present.
In 'Fools Gold', Duval explores the tension between illusion and authenticity in a world obsessed with surface and success. We’re constantly tempted by what glitters, fame, validation, the next shiny thing, but what’s real, and what’s just fools gold?
Drawing from pop culture, personal memories, and modern fables, Duval charts his own path: one of vulnerability, resistance, and a search for meaning in a polished but often hollow world.
